Studio

With two Skutt glass kilns Lindy creates her pieces in her studio in Sydney. Cutting glass with the glass saw or by hand (and often using the drill and separating blade to cut intricate pieces), the glass is then placed in the kiln for fusing. Each piece is fused in the kiln at least three times (some four or five times depending on the design) and each kiln firing takes approximately 24 hours. The final step in the process is slumping the glass into the mould. This is only done when the piece is fused to the level desired.
